2020 ROHOF Inductee

The Rural Olympics Hall of Fame committee selected the following candidate for induction in 2020.

Chris Yates

Five first place victories, five second place finishes and one third place in the highly competitive and complicated Gravel Truck and Transfer competition, coupled with four firsts, two seconds and two thirds in the Truck and Trailer Backing earned Chris his place in the Rural Olympics Hall of Fame. At the time of his induction, Chris Yates had served on the Committee and competed in events since 2006. Yates Trucking has long been a fixture in the Rural Olympics and Chris now joins his dad Bruce who became a Golden Hay Hook recipient in 2011, as a member of the ROHOF. Two events, the Gravel Truck and Transfer Race and the Truck and Trailer Backing, have been Chris’ main events each year, though he did place third in the Antique Auto Potato Race on one occasion.
